    Amanda Borowczak Schmitter
    Principal

    Mrs. Schmitter brings 21 years of educational experience, all within Grand Prairie ISD, where she has served students, staff, and families in a variety of instructional and leadership roles focused on excellence, innovation, and student achievement.

    Mrs. Schmitter earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education from Texas Christian University and her master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas. She also completed 60 hours of doctoral coursework in Art Education at the University of North Texas. Most recently, she served as principal of Rayburn Elementary STEAM Academy, where she fostered a culture centered on rigorous academics, creativity, collaboration, and meaningful student opportunities in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

    A passionate advocate for leadership and student growth, Mrs. Schmitter believes every student should have opportunities to discover their talents, strengthen their voice, and reach their fullest potential. She is honored to join the GPFAA community and looks forward to continuing the tradition of excellence while inspiring students through academics, fine arts, innovation, and future-ready learning experiences that prepare students for success beyond the classroom.
