    Schedule Change for Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy

    Requests for schedule changes open August 6 and will be addressed within the first 10 days of school (August 11 to August 24). Due to statewide Skyward outages, some schedules may still be adjusted in the days following August 6. Families are encouraged to check their student's schedule again closer to the first day of school, as we are continuing to work diligently to meet students' scheduling needs and some adjustments may occur.

    • Schedule Changes will be processed in the order that they are received AND if the class is available.
    • Completing this form DOES NOT GUARANTEE a schedule change.
    • Schedule changes will only occur between Tuesday, August 11th through Monday, August 24th.
    • You must FOLLOW YOUR CURRENT SCHEDULE until you are notified that your schedule has been changed.
    • Changes are made on a seniority-first-come, first-served basis.
    • Courses required for graduation will not be removed from your schedule. (Some changes to the level of your course were made by the Administration based on test scores; these changes cannot be reversed.)
    • NO STRAND CHANGES ARE POSSIBLE AT THIS TIME.
    • Elective options are limited. We may not be able to accommodate your request for a different elective.
    • Please make sure your contact information is current in Skyward, as we will use official school records for all communications.

Mission Statement

The mission of Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy counseling department is to provide high quality comprehensive school counseling services to all students. The programs offered by the school are designed to help all students to improve and enrich their academic, social, career, and personal strengths. Collaboration and cooperation between counselors, students, faculty, administrators, parents, and the community will provide a safe and caring environment to assist all students in becoming responsible and productive lifelong learners.

Vision Statement

The vision of Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy Counseling Department is to empower all students to reach their maximum potential by using a comprehensive program that addresses academic, personal/social, and career goals. Our counseling department will promote an environment to encourage personal inquiry and growth, social responsibility, and academic excellence. School counselors believe that every student can succeed through the collaborative efforts of school, home, and community leading to responsible and productive citizens.
